The set opens at the top. The Aletsch Glacier flows away south from the station, the longest glacier in the Alps. Inside the ice, the halls of the Ice Palace are lit blue, and its carved animals, eagles among them, are renewed by artists. Alpine Sensation's tunnel is hung with glowing stars around a glass globe.

Then the ride. The red and cream cogwheel trains climb the meadows below the snow, stop at high platforms on the way, and the Eiger Express cabins look straight at the rock on the way up from Grindelwald. The Eiger's north face rises above it all, and the Jungfrau's hanging ice is the view from the valley.

The set ends in the valleys the tours pass through: waterfalls down the limestone walls of the Lauterbrunnen valley, where Staubbach Falls drops beside the village, the chalets and church below those walls, and Grindelwald's hotels and chalets seen from the air.
